Pharmacological Action:
Liv 52 is a comprehensive herbal hepatoprotector. It promotes the regeneration of liver cells and stimulates their biosynthetic function. Significantly attenuates the action of lipid peroxidation on hepatocyte membranes. Reduces the influence of toxins on liver cells and alleviates symptoms of biliary dyskinesia. Contributes to improved appetite and normalization of digestion. Possesses choleretic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and mild diuretic effects.
Indications for Use:
The drug is indicated for chronic and acute (during convalescence) hepatitis of various etiologies (viral, drug-induced, alcoholic, etc.), liver cirrhosis and precirrhotic conditions, fatty liver disease and biliary dyskinesia, cholecystitis.
Liv 52 is also effective as a preventive hepatoprotective agent during antibiotic therapy, sulfonamide therapy, and chemotherapy, as well as after radiation therapy and in the postoperative period.
The drug is prescribed as part of complex therapy for general debilitation and anorexia, paraproteinemia, and weight loss in children.
Method of Administration:
Children over 6 years old are prescribed 1-2 tablets 3-4 times a day. Adults take 2-3 tablets 3-4 times a day. Tablets should be taken 30 minutes before meals. For prophylaxis, take 2 tablets twice daily.
