Cardimap Maharishi Ayurveda – an Ayurvedic formulation widely used for hypertension, insomnia, nervous tension, and depressive states. It lowers blood pressure through the synergy of Sarpagandha and Jatamansi. Sarpagandha calms Vata Dosha and gently stabilises high blood pressure without causing atherosclerotic changes in blood vessels. Jatamansi enhances the antihypertensive and calming effects of Sarpagandha. Its essential oils help reduce blood pressure and soothe the body, and it is also used in the treatment of heart arrhythmias.
The formulation includes Rauwolfia serpentina, a plant used for centuries to lower blood pressure and considered one of the most effective for this purpose. The active biochemical compounds in Rauwolfia serpentina tone the blood vessel tissues, increasing their elasticity. This results in reduced headaches and a feeling of increased youthfulness and vitality.

Active Ingredients:
- Rauvolfia Serpentina: This plant effectively alleviates insomnia and stress and helps lower high blood pressure. It is beneficial not only for hypertension but also for arrhythmias and headaches. It has a mild sedative effect, making it useful for sleep disturbances, Vata imbalances, and increased mental stress.
- Jatamansi (Nardostachys jatamansi): Known for its calming and anti-spasmodic properties, Jatamansi is similar to valerian but is traditionally used in the Middle East. This delicate aromatic plant, native to the Himalayas, is used in various massage oils and is valued for its soothing effects on the digestive and respiratory systems. The essential oil, derived from steam distillation of its roots, has a heavy, pleasant, woody aroma reminiscent of valerian, ginger, and cardamom. Jatamansi balances the three doshas, clarifies consciousness, and strengthens the mind. It pairs well with Brahmi and can also be taken with a small amount of camphor or cinnamon.
- Gotu Kola (Centella Asiatica): This well-known herb helps restore balance among the three doshas and is used both alone and in various effective formulations. It primarily supports the nervous system and cognitive function, promoting rejuvenation and overall health, and boosts immunity.
- Shankhapushpi (Convolvulus Pluricaulis): This plant enhances brain function and positively affects the nervous system, similar to Brahmi. It aids in learning, improves concentration, and is effective for memory loss. It also helps with speech defects and stress, aiding in long-term retention of information and increasing reaction speed.
